Still, my child has bitten through the extra strong, solid Difrax pacifier for children of 18 months and over. What should I do?

The extra strong, solid pacifier is indeed the sturdiest pacifier on the market today. Biting through this sturdy pacifier can cause a hazardous situation, in which case it is generally best to substitute a teething ring for the pacifier. We therefore recommend the following.

- Before each use pull firmly on the nozzle to check it is still intact

- If your child has bitten any holes in the nozzle, immediately throw out the pacifier

- The extra strong pacifiers tempt some children to bite/suck harder and so it would be best to give them the "ordinary" model (no matter how contradictory that seems)

- A teething ring could be a solution.
