All Stokke® furniture is made from wood, which, as a natural product, may show a degree of natural variance. Also, we source our wood from several sustainable sources and we cannot therefore guarantee individual chairs will have come from the same stand of trees. The chair should now be stable.

What are the differences between the Stokke® Tripp Trapp® and the Stokke® Steps™ ranges?

The clear differences are customer preferences, features and accessories. Both highchairs employ excellent ergonomics and encourage the family to sit together from birth. The main differences are in features and accessories.

The Tripp Trapp® is a highchair that grows with the child, from birth to adulthood. The intelligent, adjustable design allows freedom of movement with both depth- and height adjustable seat- and footplates.

The Steps™ is an All-in-One modular seating system. It starts with a bouncer which can be used from birth separately or with the Stokke® Steps™ Chair. By simply attaching the bouncer onto the Stokke® Steps™ Chair, it becomes a highchair for your newborn allowing your baby to sit comfortably at the table. When your baby is older and can sit upright without assistance, the Stokke® Steps™ Baby Set transforms into a flexible highchair featuring an optional tray as well as an adjustable back and footrest for a custom fit. Later it can be used as children´s chair until approximately age 10 years of age.

How do I know which version of the Stokke® extended gliders I need?

The Extended Gliders and their design changed in the first quarter of 2013, so about March 2013.

The first version of the gliders required screws to be used in order to assemble the plastic gliders as well as the extended gliders. This also means that that holes found underneath the chair are smaller, than that of the later chairs.

The second version of the gliders only requires the simple insertion of black plastic gliders/feet through the application of pressure. Thereafter the extended gliders simply slide on from the black of the chair. You will also see that the wholes for the later chairs manufactured after March 2013 have much larger holes underneath the chair.

Both user guides for the Tripp Trapp® chair as well as the Baby Set™ can be downloaded from:

http://www.stokke.com/highchair/tripp-trapp-userguides-and-brochures.aspx

On a general note, the new Stokke® Tripp Trapp® Baby Set™ has undergone rigorous testing and had been in use in the US, to high customer satisfaction, for several years before its introduction in Europe in 2011. It was designed to meet revised international safety standards for high chairs (used between 6 and 36 months of age) and to fit the average child. The Stokke® Table Top tray is made of PETG (Polyethylene Terephtalate Glycol-modified) and free from harmful substances such as phthalates and bisphenol. It is perfectly safe to use with food.

Is the Stokke® Table Top dishwasher-safe?

Safety of the child and product safety in general are among the main priorities at Stokke®. We therefore chose to use PETG (Polyethylene Terephtalate Glycol) for the Stokke® Table Top tray, which is a fully recyclable thermoplastic, free from harmful substances such as phthalates and bisphenol. It is perfectly safe to use with food. The choice of a safe material does, however, mean the Table Top is not scratch-proof. Its surface can be damaged with a hard or sharp object and scratches may appear on the surface after some time. This is considered a result of normal wear and tear of the product. Also, PETG has lower resistance to hot water than some other thermoplastic, which means it is not dishwasher-safe.

My Stokke® Table Top does not stick to the table properly. Why is this?

The Stokke® Table Top is only meant to be used on level, smooth and clean surfaces, otherwise the suction cups cannot create a vacuum. If you suspect the suction cups may not be functioning adequately, please test the product on various surfaces.
